Melbourne has been voted the most livable city in Australia and third most livable in the world. It is the home of the 8 hour workday and has more cafes and restaurants per capita than any other place in the world. For me, I hate to say, I just didn’t love it.
To be fair, I did come in with quite the attitude. It was rainy and cold as shit the whole time. My fingers were frozen for three straight days and I couldn’t wait to leave. It was dirty. I was rushed. In the end, it just wasn’t entirely Melbourne’s fault. On the flip, there were some fairly decent outings (see below) and it’s not stopping me from returning for yet another Aussie winter this summer.
