Ningaloo

At the tip of Western Australia’s northwestern most peninsula lies Exmouth. A tiny town of 5,000 people, there are no traffic lights, no fast food joints, and no Starbucks. What you will find is some of the most incredible and ecologically diverse landscapes in the world and a rare chance to interact with some of the world’s most magical creatures. If beautiful horizons, zero people, and a plethora of exotic animals is your speed, I suggest you book a ticket now before the secret is out.

THE BITTER BITCH’S GUIDE

GETTING THERE

There’s really only two ways to get to this part of the world. Fly or drive, and both are a little bit of a bitch. Just depends on what you want to get out of it.

If you want to take your time and really experience the wild side of Western Australia, the obvious choice is to start in Perth and drive north all the way to Learmont. While this is costly if you plan to rent a car and return in a different place, but the experience far outweighs the money when you think of it as a once in a lifetime experience.

If you’re short on time, the closest airport is Learmont and can be flown to directly from Perth. Still inconvenient considering that’ll be a connecting flight, but stay a night or two, see Perth, and make it a stopover.
