Turquoise Bay
The Deal
Turquoise Bay was by far my favorite beach and snorkel spot when visiting WA. The sand is fine and soft and lines the entire embankment, making entry to the water easy. The coral depth is perfect: you’re close enough to see everything but not so shallow that you run the risk of disturbing the coral. Most importantly, Turquoise Bay’s waters are just strong enough to drift snorkel if you enter from the southern end. But be careful to exit the water before you get to the end of the channel, as currents are strong there and you risk being pulled out to see if you are not a strong swimmer.
